

As the nights draw in and the temperature drops Londoners prepare once more to celebrate November the Fifth. Bonfire Night is a fragment of history rehearsed annually ever since a day of national celebration was decreed in the aftermath of Guy Fawkes’ failed attempt to blow up both King James 1 and Parliament in 1605.
